LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – March 22, 2018 – GTX Corp (OTC: GTXO), an IoT platform and global provider of personal location GPS and BLE tracking and monitoring wearable technology    announced today the issuance of U.S. patent 9,910,862 making this a significant addition to its existing IP portfolio strongly enhancing its position in a rapidly growing multi-billion dollar market.

Additionally the Company’s flagship wander assisted patented GPS SmartSole won second place in Tomorrow’s Care 2018 awards.

Larry E. Henneman, Jr., GTX Corp’s patent counsel commented, “This patent complements GTX’s three-pronged approach to protecting their business and products.  Now, in addition to their shoe/insole form factor and their innovative communication methods, GTX has patent protection for their server-side platform, which is independent of the specific design of any particular tracking device.  The patented platform expands GTX Corp’s business opportunities by enabling GTX to host multiple, different tracking-based businesses on a single platform.

“This new server side patent has 68 claims and open continuation which broadens the influence of the existing GTX IP portfolio. Adding to our existing 1,000 plus patent claims, this patent strategically covers the server side of the GPS platform,” stated Andrew Duncan, GTX Corp director. “With its ongoing continuation strategy GTX Corp will continue to file additional patents on the server side, the communication side and the shoe/insole device side to strengthen its position in the industry as well as vigorously defend its intellectual property rights against infringers both domestically and internationally.”

Patrick Bertagna, GTX Corp CEO concluded, “Patent 9,910,862 which we internally call ‘the middle box’ is a strong addition to our IP portfolio because it applies to our server side processes connecting all 3 aspects of our business – device, communication and backend server. As a pioneer in the wearable tech industry and watching many of the tech giants such as Apple, Samsung, Google and Microsoft strategically navigate, we are pleased we made the early investment in IP, had excellent counsel along the way and have continued for over a decade building our portfolio which we believe is starting to garner some industry attention.”

In addition to adding a new patent to its portfolio, the Company’s flagship GPS SmartSole won second place in Tomorrow’s Care 2018 awards. “We are thrilled that the GPS SmartSole have won second place in such a coveted award. Tomorrow’s Care magazine, with 28,000 circulation reaches across all industry professionals in the UK including Care Home owners and directors, facility managers, matrons and senior nurses,” stated Phil Iles, Sales Manager UK and Eire Possum. “Winning another award validates and reemphasises the interest and support that we have seen from the care industry for this highly innovative GPS tracking solution designed specifically for those at risk of wandering due to Alzheimer’s, dementia or autism.”

Most widely known for its patented GPS SmartSole and Smartphone GPS Tracking App, GTX owns and licenses more than 85 patents, is a U.S. military contractor and has multiple consumer products in the market place, all available on its online store, Amazon and authorized resellers and distributors.
